The opening drive was capped off by a Brandon McManus field goal, and then two deep strikes to Jerry Jeudy and Greg Dulcich for a touchdown put the Broncos up 10-0 at the end of the first quarter. Wilson started the first quarter 10/10 and lead scoring drives on two fo the first three Broncos possession. There were 19 combined penalties and seven made field goals in the offensive struggle from Sofi Stadium.ĭenver’s offense actually came out looking efficient on the air and the ground. And that’s exactly what Justin Herbert and Los Angeles did. Their defense is one of the best in the league, but Denver’s dreadful offense can turn any game into a slow, grind it out sort of game. We have come to expect slow, uneventful games when ever the Broncos take the field. Dustin Hopkins kicked the game winning field goal in overtime to give the Charger the 19-16 win over the Denver Broncos.
